Calling Muslim men!

If you are between 35 & 55, a parent, guardian or carer and would like to come along to an informal session to chat about issues important to you and socialise over dinner, this event is for you! You will have a chance to explore topics such as Prophetic masculinity, family & parenting, relationships at home, work and community as well as mental health. 

Facilitators

Nadeem Ishaque

Nadeem is a qualified psychotherapist with many years of experience working in the Muslim and Ethnic Minority communities. Nadeem actively supports many individuals with depression, anxiety and trauma. A keen learner, he continued his further education in Islamic studies achieving his Diploma with the nationally acclaimed iSyllabus programme in 2018.  Nadeem’s professional qualifications include youth work, parent coaching and Islamic psychology coupled with extensive voluntary sector knowledge and is currently the co-founder/Director of Urban Community Project based in Glasgow. Nadeem lives at home with his wife, 3 daughters and Barfi – their spoiled pet cat.

Adeel Ibrahim

Adeel Ibrahim is an experienced Youth Development Worker, Family Support Worker, Sports Coach and Certified in COSCA Counselling Skills. Adeel is also an active community connector and links with many voluntary organisations across Scotland that care for people's physical, emotional and spiritual health. In addition, Adeel is one of the recommended Hijama practitioners in Scotland. He has been taught and certified by the UK’s leading Unani Tibb teachers (Naturopathy) and was one of the first to offer Hijama treatment in Scotland. Adeel has a degree in Sports Science and background in Islamic Studies along with his passion for advocating for true health and well-being. Adeel is the Physical Health & Wellbeing Practitioner at Urban Community Project.
