If you are experiencing or have experienced any form of physical, sexual, psychological or financial abuse (online or in-person),

whether in an intimate relationship, by a family, a community member, or by a stranger, there are many ways to reach out for support and help.

Abuse and Sexual Violence – Women’s Services

  • Bright Sky (App that connects users experiencing domestic abuse or worried about someone to a UK directory of services)

  • Respect Phoneline (Phone line and help for perpetrators of domestic abuse) 0808 8024040

  • ASSIST - provides support to families going through domestic abuse courts

  • Support Line (specialises in survivors of childhood sexual abuse/any sexual assault)

  • Crisis Counselling (Provides counselling in Scotland for people in crisis, without a time or geographical limit. Clients need access to a phone or laptop/tablet)

FGM

  • Daughters of Eve (advocacy and support for young women from FGM practising communities)

Forced Marriage

  • Honour-based violence unit - Police Scotland on 101 or 999 for an emergency (priorities are HBV, forced marriage and FGM)

  • Positively UK (Support for anyone dealing with a diagnosis of HIV)
